Already this season we are getting a lot of reports of lame lambs and ewes. Normally scald which then leads to foot rot starts as the grass becomes stemmy and shot. This year - probably because of the mild, wet winter - scald is already out there. We, at MVT (Scotland) Ltd, suggest a planned campaign to nip this problem in the bud before it gets out of control.
We know that the most profitable lamb you sell off the farm will be sold directly off its mother or secondly off grass. To achieve a higher percentage of this within your flock, it is crucial that you keep ALL your sheep sound of foot. To this end MVT (Scotland) Ltd have developed a range of products, which can adapt to all situations whether it be hill or in bye flocks.
